Married: 13 years, to Emily.
“We met through the Liberal Democrats! We were both in a policy group on housing. I asked her out for dinner, we got on really well and it all happened.”
Children: Two. John is 10, Ellie is 4.
Drive: Ford B-Max. “My son's disabled, so we went for a car with sliding doors.”
TV: Political dramas like The West Wing and Borgen.

Album: “I could be really boring and say Coldplay. I'd break it down into three categories:
Current - Adele
Meal: “I cook a good roast beef or lamb with Yorkshire pudding”
Biggest challenge: “I lost both of my parents when I was young. My father died when I was four, leaving my mum aged 36 at the time, with three boys under the age of ten. Then, my mum got ill and my brothers and I nursed her for 3 years before she died when I was 15.”
Sum up your life: “I haven't had a standard life and I think that my real-life experiences help me relate better to people needing their MP’s help.”
